UK Visa Applications

So last Thursday, we submitted 4 of the 6 applications as Sophie and Joshua were too busy at school to miss the morning classes.  This was very last minute as Sophie did not want to miss production and Joshua had some geography class test that he could not miss.  Bless them.  But this necessitate a very quick log on to the system to change their appointment day/time and then jumping in the car to catch Joshua's bus that he waved off 5 minutes prior.
Good news is that their applications were submitted the next morning, managed to get the first appointment at 8am.  Good news later in the day was confirmation that Manila had received our applications submitted Thursday.  Bad news is that they are wanting the Health Surcharge top up payment as the Beta system had incorrectly calculated only 1 year rather than 5 years.  Expected but the email was rather rude stating that they acknowledge the problem with their system however we had 3 days to make the payments otherwise the applications would be rejected!
Anyway, now need to wait up to 3 weeks for the passports to be returned with the very expensive stickers in them!

One month to go!

So this is the family in the month before we leave for our UK adventure.  This was taken at Lake Gardens in Kuala Lumpur.  It will be sad to leave Malaysia as the kids have enjoyed their time in South East Asia having visited almost all the countries including Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Lao PDR, China, Japan and India.

Our adventure will start next month but there is a lot of paperwork to do in the last 4 weeks before we fly out.
